In the thread on SSRI drug effects I suggested a useful app called Micromedex Drug Information. It contains much of the information prescription medications that is also found in the PDR. It provides drug dosing, indications, contraindications, interactions, adverse effects, mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, and other information. A big advantage is that it is updated several times each year. The app is free.A second app I can recommend is the "Pill Identifier" by Drugs.com. If you need to identify an unknown pill, you can search for the name by the pill's shape, color, scoring, or imprints. The illustrations are in color. The app identifies the medication, dosage, and manufacturer. If memory serves me correctly, it is free; if not, it is well worth the money. ------------------
